A native of Kentucky, Ron entered the U.S. Coast Guard at age seventeen and traveled extensively during his career. His travels included the Artic, Antarctic, Alaska, Hawaii, Fiji, Tonga, Japan, and numerous South American, Caribbean and South Pacific cities and islands. The "iceberg experience" in his travels to the "Top and Bottom" of the world gave him a great appreciation for the milder South Carolina climate.

He fell in love with the Charleston area during his last career tour and he selected Real Estate as his new career choice. Ron settled in the bedroom community of Goose Creek. He and his wife "Birdie" have three children. Elizabeth, Kelly Ryan and Faith. Kelly is married and he serves on active duty in the U.S. Coast Guard. He and his wonderful wife Amanda are in Kodiak Alaska. Elizabeth is married and has blessed Ron and Birdie with three grandchildren. Last at home is their eighteen-year-old daughter Faith, the apple of her dad's eyes. She is currently attending college at Charleston Southern University. She keeps her dad "working" but also she keep me young.

Ron loves to fish and competes as an amateur in bass fishing tournaments. He teaches adult Sunday school and serves as Senior Deacon at his Church. Ron is a volunteer instructor at the Charleston Trident Association of Realtors. He is also a Charter member of the Goose Creek Economic Development Committee. Ron is a member of the National Association of REALTORS (NAR). He holds the Certified Buyer Representative (CBR), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) professional designations. He is a member of the Real Estate Buyer Agent Council and has earned the Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) designation. Ron has over 26 years full time professional experience. Ron was inducted into the Real Estate Buyer Agent Council's Hall of Fame for year 2003 and was elected President of the North Area Top Producers Club for year 2005, 2008 and 2009. He has earned several awards including two Century 21 Centurion Awards. 
Ron likes using his experience and negotiating skills to save his client time, money and effort. His consumers, either buyer or seller, are better informed. Ron believes that through technology and the news media homebuyers are becoming more educated and once they become aware that they can have agent representation at no additional cost they will seek out an experienced agent online. Ron has helped hundreds of homebuyers find their dream home.

When sellers think about curb appeal, they usually think about their own front yard and the effort required to keep the house looking good. When prospective buyers look at homes, they evaluate both the house and the neighborhood. The price that your neighbors get for their house will have an impact on the value of your home.
This knowledge makes its own case for doing your part to make the neighborhood appealing. The time to take remedial action is before you think about moving, especially if your house is the one with peeling paint, over-grown bushes, rusty bicycles, and cracked sidewalks. The value of your home will be largely determined by the recent selling prices for comparable properties, and neighborhood "eyesores" do not help to keep the values up. Even if you don't feel that you will ever move again, you will enjoy living in a house that is a real source of pride.
